We here on the Weekend Auctioneer development team have set out to create a sellers’ auction management software solution for "the rest of us". Most auction management software on the market today is geared toward the high volume seller, and has features (and a price) to match. This application is aimed at the low to middle volume hobby or weekend seller. It is meant for someone who sells enough that the auction management features provided by eBay are not quite adequate, but who does not sell enough to justify one of the higher priced or subscription based software packages.

Our vision is to provide an easy to use, intuitive software package for the middle volume seller. The package lacks some of the features of our higher priced competitors, but it also lacks the price. Unlike higher priced auction management packages, our system requires the user to do manual Auction Entry and Auction Updates rather than connecting to the eBay servers to download this information automatically. The reason for this is that eBay charges a fee each and every time you log onto their servers for updated auction information. The user (that’s you) pays for this convenience either through higher software purchase prices or ongoing subscription fees. One of our design decisions was to remove that cost.

Permanent data storage allows the user to check back over past sales to see what sold and what didn't. Financial reports can be generated over differing time periods to let you know how your eBay enterprise is doing, and fully customizable email templates allow you to transmit vital information to your buyers with only a couple of clicks of your mouse.
